In courtship, it's always the best foot forward. The person is out there to please you and to impress you. It is a one-sided drama played by the blooming colors of flowers and thornless roses, highlighted by Mr. Goodie's confession of his 'unduly' love. and climaxed by the "Will you be my girl?" kind of question. And when the act is over, all you have is the heart aching for that sweet and beautiful replay.
In companionship, the person is not out there to please nor to impress you. Words spring naturally from the heart. You get to know the reality within the person. You know what makes him laugh, cry, mad, upset or jealous. You know when he needs that hug, that stare, that kiss, that tease or simply, the silence of each other's company. And you won't be aching for a replay because every single day of just being with that someone is a sweet and a beautiful moment.
In courtship, you think you know the person. Well, think TWICE 'coz in reality, you really don't.
In companionship, you don't just think that you know the person. You know that you know the person... well and deep. And you are never wrong with such perception.
Courtship is going the safe route. A thing cowards call their hobby.
Companionship is taking a detour. A thing i opt to call faith.
Courtship is only a norm set by society regarding the interaction slash relationship of opposite sexes. But you can actually go out of the box... out of society. YOU can defy the norms.
In courtship, you love the person MORE for his positive side.
In companionship, you love the person for everything that he is... embracing all the flaws and imperfections.
